NEWS UPDATE:
-Laareenn! My baby girl got her mission call and she is going to Louisville, Kentucky! I am so proud of her. She is going to be an amazing missionary, and bless the lives of many!
-HAPPY BIRTHDAY CLAIRE. That hottie turned 20 young today.
-Bonfire was on saturday, and was awesome. I love campfires!
-Game night! We went on campus into one of the buildings Friday night, and played a bunch of 'in the dark' type games, and it was so fun!!!!! PLUS. The DENVER NUGGETS BEAT OKC! Tied in the last 10 seconds of the game and last second TY LAWSON, my boyfriend, makes a jump shot. As if that wasn't enough, he then BERNIES. He did the BERNIE. We are meant to be. I swear.
-Church. I went to church this sunday. Always a good time!
-Ward Break the Fast. Surrounded by hilarious people, as always. Side story: I have this terrible habit of playing with my food, and combining whatever is left over on my plate. So I obviously was doing that while chatting with good friends. And then Aaron G decided to eat my concoction. Okay decided being a loose term...I dared him, and made a promise with him. But it was well worth it. Nobody has ever taken me up on eating whatever I play with...but that kid did!! hahaha.
ALSO::
I'm a sucker for learning about the Holocaust.
WW2 intrigues me entirely.
Our internet wasn't working, and I had homework to be done.
So I decided to head over to the apartment lounge across the street and start on my never ending to-do list.
But got a little distracted, because Dr. Aaron was there.
We played pool.
And then decided to go do homework in his apartment.
And guess what?!
He's a sucker for WW2 also!
He had rented this documentary for fun. So we got to watch it.
And honestly, while it sounds incredibly depressing to learn about the millions of lost lives, and the cause and start of it all, it wasn't at all. It's a nice perspective check to watch and learn about this.
I'm an easy girl to please.
I could watch those types of movies, and be completely set for the night.
But reality kicked in, and we all had FHE to go to.
So many plane crashes.
So many dead animals.
So many invasions.
It helps me be grateful.
Which was what I needed, considering I was in a Negative Nancy type mood.
And to continue the better happenings... Came home and had a nice little chat with my mom. And while nothing interesting happened or was said, it's always just nice to hear from home. Probably cause that woman is hilarious, and my best friend.
And then, my forever to do list, got shortened!! It actually ended up not being that much work. Super easy, and I could get it done with in a timely matter. So yeah! I feel pretty good about my day now.
Just goes to show you that being in a bad mood is a waste of time. Things will work out.... :)
And after finishing my homework and all my work, I found another gem to brighten ANYONE'S day.
