As the holidays come around, I always begin to think of my family, well because family is what my holidays are all about! My entire childhood we spent going from grandparents house to grandparents house to aunts to uncles... to home. And REPEAT. And I loved every moment of it! I would re live that over and over again if I had the chance. So anyways...as these holidays come around, I can't help but be a little nostalgic. This holiday I miss:
Grandma Marilyn
Grandma Mary
&
Grandpa Rex
They were pretty great people.
Want to know why? Because they loved me!! Sounds like a spoiled thought, but honestly... Minus my parents (maybe ;)), they probably held the strongest love for me. They are my greatest support system still to this day! Rooting for me to accomplish my [BIG] dreams, giving me strength. They brought me my parents, and spoiled me as a grandchild every year. I like to think that I carry a part of each of them in me. Funny, kind, loving, generous, comfortable...LOVE THEM. They all had some pretty neat qualities that I hope to live up to :) Okay so they aren't here with me today, physically. But they are in the stars. I told you guys...those stars have such meaning to me, in more than one way! Its always a good and comforting thought to know that they are up, in a better place, and completely happy! They are just preparing for the day when I join them! So excited. HOLIDAYS=FAMILY. And they are constantly with me, telling me of how great it is up there, and how every frustrating moment is going to be worth it up in the kingdom of my Heavenly Father with my family.
{{AND I'M JUST SO EXCITED}}
Grateful to be their grandchild!
Oh Grandpa...if only you knew the impact you've had on me in my life, and my testimony. Great man, this guy!
Grandma Mary, ain't she a beauty? :)
Last, but not least...Grandma Marilyn! My daily example...but really they all are!
Now ya know my family just a little bit.
And now you understand why I turned out pretty great, the odds were in my favor :)
--I go home in less than a week!--
{According to me, here are my thoughts}
