California love...

California. It was a treat. It was a weekend of running around doing whatever the heck we wanted!
I fell in love with that state from the first sight. We stopped in Vegas on our way there and the girls were so excited that we just had to run. So we ran from the boys, our dads. We saw the sights, the lights of Vegas. Then landed in Brea, California at 1:15 AM. Ahhh stayed up until 5 am.

We went to the beach, shopped, got henna tattoos, had a bonfire, ate s'mores, tripped over homeless people, went on walks...etc. I could go on and on about the endless activities and adventures we dove into together.
But these people that I spent my weekend with were the amazing part of it all. I couldn't have asked for better company to be around all weekend. It was perfect. We got a long all weekend and became so tight knit. We saw sides of each other that shocked one another as well.
Thanks for the weekends guys!
Thanks to the Fletcher family who took us in even though we are loud and disruptive! Thanks for the food, the love, the beds, and the showers.
Thanks Bubba for fulfilling and driving us to all our midnight food cravings.
Thanks Jakers for being so excited about everything and just so happy the entire trip.
Thanks piddles for being so little and so easy going! You are the literal.best.
Thanks shmikele for turning 19 and delaying our trip :) Just kidding...Thanks for being CRAZY weird at night. It made not going to bed...worth it!
I couldn't have asked for a better getaway.

It is hard being back in the Ice burg. We went from 70 degrees of perfection, while we wore shorts and t-shirts all day every day. We came home to the snow...the freezing, freezing snow. I almost cried walking to class because I realized that I was in Rexburg...facing my reality of school, and life. I pushed away reality as much as I could in California, even though it got me at points in time.
It's hard settling back into this cold, boring life full of mindless activities, and school.
It's different because before all these road trips...my motivation was being in a different state. Last week I pushed my way through school because I was able to say--"In two days, you'll be on the beach...swimming in the ocean." But now I don't have that motivation. I don't have a road trip close enough to push me through my work. Instead I have...a weekend in Rexburg.
I'm at da beaachhh....with my Best Friends.
This is why we are friends.
We understand each other...oh yup!
Our little drunk California boy.
He is so animated with everything!
