Our weekend started out like any other weekend. We finished our classes, sat down....took a breath...then it began. We got all dolled up, we were ready to let loose. Set free...because we were done with the limits...the classes...the work.
So we headed to Sammy's. Well that place sucked. It was an over crowded place. Filled with...what I guess some people would consider music...wait no I wouldn't... It was crap. So we left. This college town peaked our interest...so we walked it. Just a little bit...then we had cravings. A craving to do the...weird. So we grabbed the supplies, the necessary company...jetted home... To sculpt ice cream.
Frozen fingers shaping the rainbow sherbet into monsters, ice burgs, gingers, boats, airplanes... It was a struggle, some were definitely better than others at it. But as we finished those sculptures, and looked at one another...the sudden chaos of a fight broke out. Ice cream was shoved on faces, splattered upon walls... The sherbet made it's territory known. It was everywhere. We took a good look at each other, shared a bit of laughter at the new layer of goop on our skin...then grabbed the cleaning supplies. After 3 mops of the floor...each chair wiped down...the toaster shined...It was still sticky. It was like we stepped in gum...we stuck everywhere. There wasn't one regret held within any of the sherbet covered bodies. We all enjoyed the immaturity. But that was only Friday...
Saturday was girls night...to begin with. We got in the car, ready to have a night of great food and great entertainment...with each other. Idaho Falls was in the plans with a little Olive Garden dinner. Ordering the exact same dinner...eating the exact same size portion...was not planned, but did in fact happen. Within ear shot...I'm sure our conversations seemed...rare, immature, crazy...but to us they were fun. We each had a smile draped across our face with a bunch of laughs that broke all silences around us. We went and paid for a movie. When I say paid...I mean OVER paid. It was a good movie, really. It was hot and had a good plot. It was original. But 10 bucks?? Really? Whatever.....so we jammed our way home. That 30 minute drive full of tunes followed by crazy dance moves. We came home and just...talked ;) Some others joined our company and we just took another breath in our weekend. We sat down and just enjoyed one another company. We stayed up until the wee hours of the freaking morning and slept until the latter hours of the day.
We woke up in time to hurry and doll ourselves up for church...It was good... I always enjoy church. Sure I wish it were a titch earlier in my day, consider we came home and it was DARK outside. But good, none the less. To top off our Sunday...the home teachers came. Anybody that knows me...I NEVER participated when the home teachers came over. They were always so old and weird to me...that I eventually just played hermit in my room when they came. It was definitely, to say the least, an UNWANTED thing for me. But here at college...they aren't old and weird...well...haha. Anyways...so I participated in my first home teaching college experience...and I gotta say, I liked it! One of them gave an excellent lesson on Charity...
So this weekend...it's been good, it has been really good to me. I'm on that road of creating memories. I know that the memories will eventually bring tears to my heart because I know I will soon miss them. But for now I'm just enjoying my life, with the people I have chosen to be in life. For now, I'm just being me...doing what I do...but doing it loud and proud. No stopping me, or breaking me.
We pick on Mikele...cause she is cute :)
