Okay, so that little blogging idea sight gave me another one.
My Example:
To me that means...who lead me to where I am today...and for that...I have a couple people in mind.
Those that know me..know I love music. It is what I have chosen for my life. So obviously the people that have had a big influence in me are musically involved people.
Schehera McKasson:
A choir teacher on top. To me...much much more. She was that shoulder to lean on. I can remember in many times of need her calming voice just taking a load off my shoulder. She had a way of speaking things and making everything better. She knew what she was doing. She wasn't a teacher that gave busy work. She wasn't a teacher that filled her time with non-sense. Her classes were always a time of working hard until what we wanted was accomplished. We accomplished everything with her around. On top of the musical aspects of her life...she has achieved much more in my eyes. Her beautiful family. I adore her twin daughters. They are sweet and I know they will grow up to be amazing women just like their mother. She is that mother that honestly, truly cares about her girls. Schehera Mckasson has a way of being able to separate the important things from the non-important. I know that sounds silly...but it truly helps. Most of us worry about the small little things or we don't worry enough. She knows what to worry about and what not. I love Schehera. Everything she has taught me will stay with me.
Kaye Craig:
My mother. My guide. My inspiration. My teacher. My best friend.
You guessed it. She is many peoples piano teacher. She is other people's choir director. But how blessed I am to have had her as those and plus! I started piano when I was 4 years old. Ever since then...it has been my mom to help me push through those hard moments of "Do I really enjoy piano? Do I want this?" She didn't let me quit when I was young and stupid...and didn't know what I really wanted. Yes, she is the reason I have seriously chosen a music major. She is great at what she does. It took me a little over too long to realize that just listening to her was the smart thing to do. Second thought...she is my best friend. I have been the only child home for a while now... having her here makes it fun. She is my shopping buddy...when she says we can be. She is my lunch partner. I love my mom. Even when she is constantly playing words with friends. She has been there for me. A listener. A helping hand. I love her goofiness and her made up words to coincide with her made up dictionary.
I love you mommy :)
