As time goes by

As time goes by, one realizes the importance of friendship. I have been blessed in my life with friends and the ability to make friends. I love going out and meeting all the people this busy world has to offer. It has led me to make great friends. They have made me who I am today. They show love, compassion, and laughter. They all have so much to offer in their own unique ways. They carry standards that they also let no one break. They are my examples.
As time goes by, one also realizes that everyone comes with their own personality; That each personality has to clash somewhere with someone in their lifetime. 4 years later, and  I've met somebody that may understand me on a different scale then any of my friends but that doesn't mean things were meant to stay put together. It was as if our friendship were a building made of blocks, we built it fast, but we tore it down even faster. We rebuilt the building multiple times until the blocks became faulty, and eventually untrustworthy. So that this wobbly building, soon demolished. One stage ended in each of our lives, that soon led us to believe this friendship was never something we wanted. Rather it was something that was convenient and always there. Like fire and gasoline, we were no good for each other. The memories made and the laughter shared is something that will remain in my heart. I believe we were in each others life for a reason. We strengthened each other along the way and for a while we were each others companions and best friends.  We shared common interests, and showed each other new adventures in life. Everything good of the friendship made all the bad times worth it. But somethings just don't last forever.
As time goes by, these friendships, broken or kept, are something to be forever grateful for.
“Even though we've changed and we're all finding our own place in the world, we all know that when the tears fall or the smile spreads across our face, we'll come to each other because no matter where this crazy world takes us, nothing will ever change so much to the point where we're not all still friends.”
